ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY BITCHES

June 13, 2010 | Randy Senneway

Lets see now, how did i celebrate the go, go randy web site’s first anniversary??? Obviously by losing focus and not having updated it in awhile. OK, I am past that,…here it is… a celebration of the sites past year. The highs, lows and inbetweens (a reminder of my favorite stories, best lists and most controversial posts.)

I have made over 170 posts the past year. Updating anything from a trip to Pittsburgh, a concert in Miami, or some strange cat I ran into at a gas station. It has been an interesting year and I hope that you have enjoyed what I have posted.

THE STORIES

1. The Ninja Turtle Story
There are some stories that I have been sharing for a while, this one goes back close to twenty years. It has always been a favorite of mine and is a hit with those that hear it.

2. Oh Jafar…
I Love Parades. I am not afraid to admit it. Always have, always will. I like to watch them, ride my bike in them, listen to the marching bands, and harass the people marching. This goes back to when I was young, but not too young because at one time I was afraid of them. Anyway, you get the idea, I love parades.

3. A Senneway Family Christmas Story
This is a story of a Christmas past… I’m not exactly sure what year this was, I’m thinking it was around 1985/86 and my family was living in Bethel Park, just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was Christmas Eve and we were going to the evening mass at our church, which was minutes from the house. Gathered to go to church were my mom and dad, my brother Bill(9), sister Beth(4) and me (I was around 11 or 12 years old at the time). We packed ourselves into the light blue family station wagon, got to the church early to get a good parking space, and more importantly seats.

THE SONGS (Song of the Day)

1. Bohemian Rhapsody – The Muppets

2. I Turn My Camera On – Spoon

3. Impossible Germany – Wilco

THE CONTRIBUTIONS

1. Rusty Cosgrove’s “How to Survive a Shark Attack”

THE LISTS

1. Best of the Decade (album, song, movie)

2. My Favorite Concerts

3. For Michelle (DMB Style)

THE PICTURES

1. St Patty’s Parade – Delray Beach, FL

2. Pittsburgh Trip 2009

THE CONTROVERSY

1. So, Let me get this Straight

Dolphin Ride

I thought that it would be fun riding the featured waterslide at the Aquatica Waterpark. Shooting down a tube, gliding on a jet of water, through a dolphin habitat and then out into a pool of water. Sounds Awesome! Right? Nope, more like torture.

Randy in New Orleans

I was in New Orleans for Jazz Fest, and the four days were packed with shows. I knew that on this trip I would be all over the place, bar to bar, bar to restaurant, restaurant to restaurant. The amount of eating and drinking would be difficult to keep track of. This made it the perfect subject for an ongoin twitter blog.

Five Days of Music / Insanity

April 28, 2010 | Randy Senneway

Beginning today and covering over 800 miles, I will begin a musical odyssey that will carry me from sunny south florida to the shores of the Mississippi in New Orleans. Tonight in West Palm Beach, the opening night of Sunfest with a concert by Weezer is where this is starting. Traveling to New Orleans tomorrow for Jazzfest (aka/Brian’s Bachelor Party) with some awesome shows lined up in and around the French Quarter. Planning for a return down to Boynton on Sunday night. These five days are probably going to be a bit rough, but I shall return from them a stronger man, with many an insane story to share.

Keep an eye out for my twitter updates for some up to the minute details of some of the music/insanity.
