Say It Ain’t SO-O-O-O
Weezer – Sun Fest

Randy Senneway

Weezer

A little while back I caught Weezer play a show up in West Palm Beach. Had a great time, it was during the Sun Fest Music Festival. They are one of the few groups where I have all of their albums, and followed them since I first bought Weezer Blue on cassette back in 1995. I wanted to share some of my pictures and their setlist from the show. As well as a list of how I rank their albums.

Early evening highlight was finding $40 balled up on the ground (not a bad way to start). So I grabbed a couple beers and got comfortable. We positioned ourselves close to the stage, it was a beautiful night, with a full moon, slight breeze and excited crowd.

Moon Over Sun Fest

Although they didn’t play a full show, what they played during their set was everything that I wanted to hear and I had a great time.

They closed out the show with Island In The Sun and Buddy Holly. I was looking back through the pictures and video that collected from the show and it takes me right back.

ALBUM REVIEW

As I have with many other columns I felt the need to reflect upon the Weezer catalog. The following is how I rank their albums, as well as my favorite songs from each.

1. Blue (Say It Aint So)
2. Green (Island In The Sun)
3. Pinkerton (El Scorcho)
4. Make Believe (The Other Way)
5. Raditude (Let It All Hang Out)
6. Red (Troublemaker)
7. Maladroit (Dopenose)
